It is too hard to bear—the death of a young man, unexpected despite years of suffering. Lost is husband, father, son, brother, friend, doctor. And yet bear it they will: wife, daughters and son, parents, brother, friends, patients—with greater love, deepened gratitude, older souls, and darker nights as their unwanted inheritance.
