My father did what he could. Hours at work, giving up on night school.

Providing so to raise a doctor. Now, on the phone with that doctor, with some degree of timidity, he asks in broken English, “What is kar-ci-no-ma?” Being his son, my heart breaks and being a doctor, I try to keep face.
